Bio

 

I am a Fayetteville, Arkansas based artist who uses a mixture of traditional techniques and modern technological tools to create unique, eye-catching animations and illustrations. In 2013, I graduated from the University of a Colorado Denver, with a BFA in 3D Graphics & Digital Animation, plus a Minor in Art History. During my time there, I was accepted into the Digital Animation Center (DAC) program, where I studied 3D animation, character design, and narrative storytelling within a small collaborative team. The program concluded with a three-semester capstone production of a short film, where I took on the roles of Art Director and Lead Character Designer.

In my professional life, I began as a Medical Animator, recreating anatomical procedures and functions with high-end 3D modeling and video editing software. I worked closely with medical professionals to model accurate reconstructions of actual medical scans and collaborated with members of NASA to create visually dynamic representations of experiments and research within the International Space Station. Next, I worked as a Creative Director for Videos That Matter, a Colorado based non-profit that focused on raising awareness on community issues. My responsibilities there spanned many different avenues including, production, promotion, project management, and community outreach. While working with VTM, I created dozens of motion graphics, hand-drawn animations, illustrations, ads, and filmed several live action shorts. My next step took me on a great adventure. I worked for Copernicus Studios, based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. It has long been a dream to work on an animated television show and I finally achieved that as a 2D animator on Teen Titans GO!, Care Bears, and several Adult Swim shorts. As a bonus, I got to enjoy the wonders of Nova Scotia and partake in the slow, seaside lifestyle. Most recently, I worked for SMACK Art, helping to develop POZY, a user-friendly AI art platform. The process required a deep understanding of prompting for AI image generation, and utilized Midjourney and ChatGPT 4.0, along side Adobe Illustrator, to create a seamless user interface. While working on POZY, I produced over 30,000 images, fine-tuning the outcomes with a mixture of technical acumen and creative insight.

Personally, I have worked to create meaningful relationships and collaborative projects with musicians and artists throughout the USA and Canada, striving to bolster the community and uplift the people around me. In my spare time, I have worked to further develop a background in ceramics, photography, painting, music, underwater basket-weaving, 3D printing, and writing, which provides a broad spectrum of skills, as well as influences, to aid in my many creative endeavors.
